The review of the South East Queensland (SEQ) Regional Plan has been conducted in partnership with local governments and other state government departments and agencies and with input from the community.

The draft SEQ Regional Plan and draft state planning regulatory provisions were released on 7 December 2008 with consultation running until 1 May 2009. Around 3500 submissions were received on the draft regional plan. Each submission was assessed and summarised and a consultation report has been prepared.

After a review of the submissions, the updated SEQ Regional Plan was released on Tuesday 28 July 2009.
