Blueprint for the Bush regional plans

Regional communities across Queensland are facing increasing challenges including static or declining populations and delivery of services and infrastructure.

Blueprint for the Bush regional plans address these challenges and guide the delivery of services and infrastructure over the next two decades. By balancing economic, social and environmental needs, the regional plans ensure a sustainable future for regional communities.

The regional plans include policies for future land use and the economic and social needs of regional communities. Blueprint for the Bush regional plans do not regulate where future urban development can and cannot take place.

Regional plans were released in draft form for public comment during the consultation period. Draft plans are currently available for:

Community input was sought for the Central West, Maranoa and Districts, and South West regional plans. The submission period closed on the 29 November 2008.
