PPP in other jurisdictions

National forum

On 14 May 2004, ministerial representatives from all states and territories in Australia met in Brisbane for the inaugural National Public Private Partnership Forum. At the forum it was agreed that a national pipeline of projects be maintained to identify the projects contracted in the market.

The forum is designed to deliver improved project and related service outcomes through encourging better coordination amoung Australian governments. The forum includes members from all state, territory and federal governments. Members work to:

  • reduce bid costs
  • increase the level of consistency across jurisdictions
  • share lessons learned to increase skills and knowledge in the public sector.

The forum has published a pipeline of national projects. This pipeline outlines the current list of contracted, pipeline and potential projects across all Australian jurisdictions. Further information is available on the National Public Private Partnership Forum website.
