| Guideline to fees |
Guideline for paying fees under the environmental coordination processAmendments to the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971, which took effect in December 2008, introduced fees for proponents of declared significant projects for the environmental coordination process under part 4 of the Act. These fees are to recover some of the government costs of reviewing the environmental impacts of these projects. The amendments also allow recovery of the additional costs of any services or advice the Coordinator-General considers necessary to either decide on an application or to take other action in relation to the project. This guideline helps to understand how the fee structure and cost recovery provisions operate and sets out the accepted methods of payment.
