Greywater from bathroom and laundry basin, shower and washing machine can be used above-ground. To use greywater on your lawn and garden you can:

• Manually bucket greywater onto lawns and gardens with no council approval required.
• Attach a flexible hose to your washing machine outlet which does not require council approval.
• Install an approved greywater diversion or treatment system to disperse the greywater above or below ground with local council approval and installation by a licensed plumber.

A greywater treatment system, must hold a Chief Executive Approval or its predecessor, before it can be installed.
