On-site sewage treatment plantsThe following on-site sewerage treatment facilities are approved for use to treat sewage of 20 equivalent persons or less. Approvals granted under Section 186(3) of the repealed Standard Sewerage Law remain in force under Section 108 of Standard Sewerage Law 1998 until the approval expires under the repealed law. Greywater treatment plants and greywater diversion devicesGreywater treatment plants must be approved by the department. Specifications and plans are provided on this page to assist councils, plumbers and householders. Greywater diversion devices are not approved by the department, but must have Water Mark certification and comply with the requirements of the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2002 (PDA). Devices have been placed on the web site as examples only. |
