Minister for Infrastructure and Planning

The Honourable Stirling Hinchliffe

Stirling Hinchliffe, the member for Stafford, was sworn in as the Minister for Infrastructure and Planning on 26 March 2009.

As the former Parliamentary Secretary in this portfolio since September 2007, Minister Hinchliffe holds a genuine passion for the real difference that infrastructure delivery and planning makes to the everyday lives of Queenslanders.

Since 2006 Minister Hinchliffe’s parliamentary service has included experience in parliamentary secretary roles – not only for infrastructure and planning but also in areas of communities and disability services. He has also served on several parliamentary committees and has held the temporary role of speaker/deputy speaker. 

Minister Hinchliffe worked as a property industry analyst, policy manager, policy advisor, and executive officer prior to entering politics.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.
