Health and social

Rising population and economic growth in Queensland are driving a need for new health infrastructure. The Department of Infrastructure and Planning is leading the planning and delivery of health infrastructure to improve the health and wellbeing of all Queenslanders. Health infrastructure ranges from the delivery of new hospitals and ambulance stations to upgrading community health facilities.

To deal with a growing and ageing population, the department is leading in the planning and delivery of social infrastructure such as new community centres, police stations, aged-care facilities and new government offices to improve service delivery in South East and regional Queensland.
