On 26 February 2007 the Commonwealth Senate initiated an inquiry titled Additional Water Supply for South East Queensland - Traveston Crossing Dam. The inquiry will be conducted by the Rural and Regional Services Transport Committee and will examine all reasonable options, including increased dam capacity, for additional water supplies for South East Queensland, including:
