Service delivery statement

The Department of Infrastructure and Planning's service delivery statement provides budgeted financial and non-financial information for the current budget year.

Service delivery statements have evolved from the set of individual Ministerial Portfolio Statements that were previously prepared in the past. These documents have been combined into one Queensland Government budget paper which is comprised of several volumes, consistent with practice in other jurisdictions.

Document highlights

The department's Service Delivery Statement outlines key service priorities for 2009-10 and beyond:

  • Plan, coordinate and deliver key infrastructure for economic, environmental, and social development and employment creation in Queensland.
  • Facilitate and lead major private sector and government projects.
  • Plan, secure and manage land supply for urban, industrial and economic development and conservation and public recreation.
  • Collaboratively plan sustainable and dynamic urban and regional communities.
  • Shape and support an efficient, effective and sustainable local government system.
