The annual report provides information about the Department of Infrastructure and Planning, how it is governed and its activities, performance and future direction. Our annual report provides an overview of the department's financial and non-financial performance and key achievements for 2008–09. The report responds to the strategic priorities presented in the 'Department of Infrastructure and Planning’s Strategic Plan 2008-12' and pertinent elements from the former Department of Local Government, Sport and Recreation’s Strategic Plan 2008–12. It reports on outcomes linked to Queensland Government priorities and describes how the department has invested public and industry funds to benefit Queensland’s communities and industries.

Final Report 2009 - former Department of Local Government, Sport and RecreationThe Department of Local Government, Sport and Recreation was abolished by Administrative Arrangements Order (No. 1) 2009 on 26 March 2009. This final report of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Recreation summarises its financial and corporate performance from 1 July 2008 to 26 March 2009, unless otherwise stated, and reflects the structure, operations and performance of the department as it existed on 26 March 2009. The local government function has transitioned to the Department of Infrastructure and Planning. Sport and recreation functions have transitioned to the Department of Communities. The Office of Rural and Regional Communities transferred to the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation. Future performance reports for these functions will be published by those respective departments. Complete document
