The Integrated Planning Act 1997 (IPA) offers a range of tools to resolve planning and development disputes.

The IPA provides for alternative dispute resolution as an option for managing and resolving disputes without the need for court action. As part of alternative dispute resolution, an independent third party will assist parties to the dispute to attempt to resolve any identified issues.
